FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for scholarships, grants, and other awards based on financial need. Please follow the steps below to get started.
1) The first step is for students and parents to create pin numbers at www.pin.ed.gov
2) The second step is to file the FAFSA on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov beginning Jan. 1. Information used is based on the students and parents 2013 federal income tax return. For help, contact the financial aid office at the college you are attending. (You do not have to your 2013 taxes filed and returned to complete the FAFSA. You can select "Will File" and then go back and update the FAFSA after you have filed).
**Make sure that you go to the correct web site – www.fafsa.ed.gov – when completing the FAFSA.
Other web sites will attempt to charge a fee. The FAFSA is free! **
